Care advice consultation -
What to expect
The first step is to have a consultation with one of our expert Care Advisers. This can be by phone, virtual call or in-person anywhere in the UK.
They will listen carefully to everything you have to say, your needs and wishes, your hopes and concerns. Through conversation and questions, they will build the full picture and understand your situation. This enables them to give you advice, explain your available options and agree the next steps you should take.
Following the consultation
Your Grace Care Adviser will provide a written summary of what you have discussed, along with relevant supporting information.
They will make sure you are aware of all available statutory services and funding for which you may be eligible.
Your advice, written summary and supporting information will provide you with the information you need to make confident, informed decisions.
You can then choose to carry out your care search yourself or we will be happy to assist you with this.
Care search
If you opt for us to carry out a care search, your Care Adviser will have explored your care requirements and your personal preferences in detail during your consultation.
They will use their expertise to conduct a bespoke search centred entirely on your needs and wishes. For example, you may require information on the most suitable homecare providers or the best care home for your long-term wellbeing. The Care Adviser will make contact with the most suitable providers and will shortlist them against your personal criteria, assessing the pros and cons of each.
In addition to proving quality reassurance, this will save you time and provide insight into costs and value.
Bespoke care provider report
Where the best care providers are researched, a comprehensive report is created for you. It is tailored specifically to your personal requirements.
It explains the findings of the research and generally provides a shortlist of the most suitable home carers or vacancies in care homes, with costs, inspection reports and contact details.
This report provides all you need to move forward and make direct contact with or visit the providers - you can choose to visit the providers yourself or we can offer an accompanied visit service.
Care provider selection
Once we have completed the care search and reported back to you it is time to visit the shortlisted care providers.
Some people like the extra reassurance of an experienced Care Adviser with them when meeting with care providers or interviewing home carers. This is especially useful for busy clients who have difficulty finding time to view all the options or for people returning from abroad.
Follow up
Your Care Adviser will make contact with you following the initial advice and reporting process to ensure that you are on-track. When supporting your care search, they will remain available for further follow up, advice, encouragement and reporting - until you have found the best solution.
